Auto-sync of contract end dates during NCE subscription events
📝 Note: The changes in this feature are currently in Early Availability status.
In this release, we’ve introduced changes to the logic for determining contract end dates for NCE subscriptions. Moving forward, AppDirect will leverage Microsoft’s data (Partner Center date) to calculate contract end dates during the following subscription events:
- New purchase
- Subscription update
- Contract renewal
Contract end date discrepancies can result in unexpected behavior during subscription management activities or other lifecycle events. With these new changes, such data discrepancies can be reduced significantly.
How does this change impact customers?
With contract end dates now aligned with Partner Center dates, let’s look at how this change can impact customers.
- AppDirect contract end date = X
- Partner Center contract renewal date = Y
Prerequisites
Only NCE subscriptions are eligible for these changes. The following prerequisites must also be in place for these changes to take effect:
- A Reseller relationship must be established between a partner account (CSP) and the customer's Microsoft tenant to enable access to the latest subscription data from Partner Center.
- Subscriptions must be active in both the AppDirect platform and Partner Center to be able to leverage Microsoft's end date.
